Why did Goku struggle on King Kai's planet?

He mentioned as a kid he spent less than a month in the RoSaT, I assume that's at least 1 week, so he spent a bit of time in x10 gravity maybe not enough to get used to it but he acts like it's completely new when he goes to King Kai's planet (And the RoSaT should have been harder due to the 1/4 air)

I know the real reason is "Akira didn't think of it at the time" but are there any possible in-universe explanations? I mean he could have just taken out the line about Goku being in there as a kid anyway and this wouldn't have happened >_>

So Lonely

It's a plot hole if you ask me. He would only weigh about 1350 lbs.

It wasn't shown, but he said it.

You sure?....

When?

Are you sure he didn't mean the room with the clocks?

Anyway also, what's the gravity like in the rosat? And another thing, well King Kai said he did better than most people when he asked him to jump.

It was in the manga, too. So, there's no getting away with "it was filler."

It had been a long tim since he had been in there, and perhaps he only got to crawl around the RoSaT when he was a kid until he was succumbed and got out of it.

has anyone ever stopped to think that maybe Trunks just bought his sword somewhere or something? There's nothing really special about it.

Well it did manage to slice Frieza into a shishkebab so it must've been packing more power than your average blade. Hell even Zelda's sword couldn't pull off that ****.

it had been at least 5 years since he had experienced high gravity, and he might not have left the living area very often while he was in there. iirc, the high gravity starts outside the living area. so, he probably never got used to the gravity.

Chapter: 366 (DBZ 172), P3.5, P4.1
Goku: “I’m going to take Gohan and go train. At a place where I can train for 1 year in just 1 day…”
Piccolo: “So that’s it! You want to go to the Room of ‘Spirit and Time’! I see…But nobody’s ever been able to spend 1 year in there. Even you long ago could barely manage 1 month…”

Turns out i was wrong with "Less than a month" it was actually "Barley a month" so he did spend an entire month in there.

I guess there's nothing that I can think of to explain why he reacted as though he didn't know what was going on when he got to the planet. It's Goku, meaning you can always blame it on his stupidity.

Doesn't really constitute to much but wasn't Goku wearing Weighted Clothing when he arrived on King Kai's planet?

Ignorance and stupidity aren't the same thing ;)

and yeah, if anything I would say it's because of the weighted clothing... and maybe a touch of dramatic effect. Actually I'd say it's dramatic effect more than anything else.

Seriously, how freaking dense must King Kai's planet be if it is 10x the gravity of Earth. I mean, it can't be more than 2 acres of land. Guess how many acres Earth has...

126,048,000,000

so to equal earth's gravity it has to be ~63,024,000,000 times denser than Earth, but it's not equal, it's 10x higher, so that would make King Kai's planet 630,240,000,000 times denser. Over six hundred and thirty billion times denser than Earth. Yet it is somehow destroyed by Cell's explosion.

The reason why Goku had such a hard time on King Kaioshin's planet is because his body wasn't use to the high gravity, he lived on Earth his entire life so his body was use to normal gravity by that point, but by the time Goku returned to Earth post Frieza arc. his body was so use to all sorts of Gravity, it's all about what Goku was use to.

I was asking why he was so surprised at the gravity and acted like he'd never done it before when he had for a month in the RoSaT
But I guess the weighted clothing answer answered my question.

wrong. no matter what the size of the planet, if it has the same density, it will have the same surface gravity. it's just that smaller planets' gravity fades faster with distance.

this is actually somewhat simplified, but more or less true. for example, mercury has nearly the same overall density as earth, but much lower surface gravity because all its mass is concentrated at the core, while the outer layers are much lighter, but earth's mass is more evenly spread. so on mercury, if you are on the surface of the planet, you are actually several hundred miles from the main source of the gravity.

king kai's planet likely has an extremely compressed core made of heavy elements like lead, with only a thin layer of soil above that.
